Highly regarded National Developer Builder, Morris Property Group, requires Safety Officer with the capability to work on Residential & Commercial projects ranging from $20M to $80M in QLD.
Morris Property Group is about to commence another multi-unit hi-rise residential development on the Gold Coast QLD and is looking for a Safety WHSO to assist with cost plans and early tenders.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager & Safety Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- Implementation of MPG Safety Management Plan
- Review of contractor SWMS and plans
- Site Inductions, Safety Walks & Chair Safety Meetings
- High Risk works reviews and controls
- Advise and facilitate safety and environmental training to personnel as required on hazard identification, risk assessment, control implantation, monitoring and review process.
- Promote health and Safety initiatives on site
- Conduct safety audits & SWMS reviews of contractors
- Consult with all HSR’s, contractors and employees on all safety issues
- Assist with all reporting and notification process
- Manage and document all First Aid treatments
- Report and liaise with Worksafe Inspectors
- Provide monthly reports regarding safety statistics
To be considered for this role you must have:
- 3 years minimum experience as a Safety Officer on multi story construction projects
- Experience on medium to larger projects ($10m + projects)
- Residential building experience is preferable
- Excellent communication and computer skills
