Purpose of this role
As the HSE coordinator you will support Ingham’s WA vertically integrated supply chain to ensure the safety of employees, by driving the safety initiatives across the state and engaging all employees in the ingham’s safety for life plan.
Accountabilities
- Work closely with all functional teams across the Ingham’s vertically integrated supply chainto implement and maintain the health safety and environmental systems
- Support the business with internal and external audits
- Continuously assess the work environment for injury prevention, by engaging employees to work a culture of continuous improvement
- Investigate incidents and work place injuries
- Prepare reports and KPI information to allow managers to make informed decisions for the business
- Training staff of the Ingham’s HSE practice and safety for life program related training
- Maintaining files and documentation to meet internal and legislative requirements
Skills required
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives, to improve safety, efficiencies and reliability
- Experience working in a high risk environment and driving a safety culture
- Comfortable working across multiple sites with diversity of regulations and challenges
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for employees to understand
- Ingham’s is self-insured environment, so experience of working within a similar environment with an understanding of maintaining compliance to regulatory requirements
Qualifications/Licences
Required:
- Cert IV in a HSE related discipline is required.
- HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid
Advantageous:
- Certificate IV in Fitness.
- Qualification in exercise physiology or physiotherapy.
- IMRTW Injury Management & RTW Coordinators qualification.
- PUAWER005B - Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation
