An opportunity exists for an experienced Insurance Building Supervisor to join our busy team. Arcbuild Insurance is one of Australia's leading insurance restoration companies. Arcbuild provides personalised customer service with a 24 hour ERA (Emergency Response Agreement).
We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude, unwavering integrity and a sound work ethic. Extensive experience within the building industry (preferably in carpentry) is essential, with a background in insurance preferred. Excellent communication and professional phone manner, organisational and dispute resolution skills are also a must, as well as a sense of urgency, an honest nature and the ability to work well under pressure
Key Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Engage, coordinate and manage trades during the insurance repair process within the area
- Communicate and negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
- Outstanding Customer service is a must, Ability to update customer's essential.
- Liaise with both insured and insurers
- Coordinate access to properties with insured parties
- Dispute/issue resolution as required
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements
- Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from Building Surveyor and all relevant documentation is signed off
Key Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience as a qualified Supervisor or carpenter within a similar role
- Insurance building background highly advantageous
- Be familiar with OHS practices, legislation and regulations and familiar with current market and rates/trades
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- An eye for detail and pride in your work
- Well presented
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated
- Computer savvy
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
- Current and valid motor vehicle licence
