An amalgamated local council based south of Sydney has engaged our services to assist in the temporary employment of a Planning Officer. The Planning Officer will work on a range of residential development assessments and liaise regularly with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing development applications. They will be capable of liaising with local government, and have current knowledge of building and town planning practices particularly in relation to development applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage a range of development applications
- Conduct site inspection when required
- Prepare associated reports
- Ensure statutory requirements are compliant
- Liaise with the key stakeholders
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Planning or equivalent
- Ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Can work within a collaborative team
- Ability to present accurate reports
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
