Our client is one of QLD's longest standing and highly respected volume builders with a reputation for producing quality, affordable designer homes for the owner occupier. Turning over approximately 350 homes per year they have been recognised multiple times through HIA for their award winning designs and are seen as an employer of choice for having a fantastic work environment and company culture.
About the Position
Currently an opportunity exists for an Estimating Manager to join their management team in a key role running an estimating department of 10. Responsibilities include managing procurement process and supply agreements, training, developing and recruiting across both production and sales estimating, monitoring ETS reports and profit margins, maintaining BOQs, approving off all sales estimates and fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
Suitable candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years experience in residential estimating within volume housing
- Sound background in both production and sales estimating
- Timberline experience highly regarded
- Trade or Tertiary qualifications desirable
- Good knowledge of Australian building standards, local codes and QLD Suppliers
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- A passion for what you do
