Civil engineering firm now in the market seeking a quantity surveyor / estimator to provide assistance in winning projects and developing the business
Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
My client is a highly reputable civil contractor operating all throughout NSW. Now with growth plans in place they are now looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on civil projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable organisation with lots of scope for career development coupled with a really attractive remuneration package!
The duties for this Quantity Surveyor / Estimator role include:
- Preparing bills of quantities and cost control
- Estimating and pricing works
- Liaising with clients on a regular basis
- Business development
- Administering sub-contractor & client variations
- Dealing with subcontractor and client payment claims
- Liaising closely with the project manager
- Provision of assistance in commercial and project management to ensure all cost objectives are met
- Benchmarking costs and ensuring value engineering
- General administration and document control
The requirements for this Quantity Surveyor / Estimator role include:
- Tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, construction economics or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation quantity surveying / estimating experience on civil projects
- Experience working within Sydney water
- Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills
- Career driven self-starter with a willingness to succeed
- Proven ability to maintain and develop strong relationships
- Package will depend on experience
