The Company

We are a nation-wide aluminium distribution and manufacturing company with a successful trading history spanning over 20 years.

This position is based in Erskine Park, Western Sydney, within an established, fast paced and well reputed company in the aluminium industry.

As we are currently experiencing substantial growth, you will be a key player in our highly collaborative, supportive and friendly management team. In addition to the key responsibilities, the Customer Service Supervisor will play an important role in the implementation of new technology and process improvement.

The Role

  • Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for the effective operation of our Customer Service department and management of employees toward achieving operational objectives

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise, lead and develop our Customer Service team
  • Allocation of daily workloads based on critical priorities
  • Liaising with Warehouse staff to ensure deliveries and queries are dealt with efficiently
  • Ensure exceptional customer service levels are maintained
  • Identify and deliver training needs including cross skilling for team efficiency and consistent delivery
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders
  • Follow up on short picks, quotes and back orders daily
  • Oversee the management of all key accounts
  • Ensure team KPI's are met

About you:

In order to achieve success in this role, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Customer Service Supervisor who encompasses the following skills and capabilities:

  • Develop and implement improvement strategies, to achieve overall business objectives
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with overall business objectives whilst driving continuous improvement
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to enhance business relations and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Lead, motivate and engage team members through effective people management processes and practices, ensuring capability of people to achieve individual, team and overall business objectives

To be successful in this role:

  • 3+ years of Supervisor experience preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Proactive with a completion mentality
  • Relevant business administration qualifications
  • Ability to problem solve in a timely manner 
  • Natural ability to build strong rapport with team members, stakeholders and customers

Be energetic, friendly, customer service focused and have the ability to stay calm and work under pressure when the business is busy.

Days are Monday to Friday however, working hours may be heavier in high seasons.
