Boral’s Northern NSW Sales & Customer Service Centre has an opportunity for a Sales & Customer Service Coordinator to be based in our Sandgate Office located just outside Newcastle.

In this role, you will be working within a high energy team environment where performance, quality and fun are paramount to providing superior customer service and achieving outstanding results.

About the role:

  • Receive telephone orders from Boral customers, both new and existing, and enter them into our systems in a precise and agile manner
  • Understand production capabilities of the Boral plant and truck network and negotiate a mutually agreed supply arrangement with the customer and apply the most cost effective solution
  • Monitor progress of deliveries and provide delivery status information to the customer.
  • Provide product information and build professional relationships with customers

About you:

  • Previous experience in a call centre environment will be required for this position
  • Exceptional communication skills (especially telephone manner) to identify and resolve customer issues and capture customer orders with the high accuracy
  • Knowledge of construction materials and industry is highly desirable
  • Enthusiastic customer focused individual
  • Computer savvy (training provided on Boral systems)
  • Proven ability to learn and meet the challenges of an ever changing environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment

Hours of the role are rostered with shifts varying to cover the phones between 6am and 5pm Monday to Friday and working every second Saturday from 6am to 12pm.
