About us
Bendigo Bank’s innovative Community Bank® concept was established in Charlton over 15 years ago. North Central Financial Services Ltd. operates the Charlton & District Community Bank® Branch. It is a well-established and successful local company ready to move to its next stage of growth. As a recently accredited co-branded Rural Bank branch, the opportunity exists for greatly increased penetration of the local and district rural lending market. Additional opportunities exist to increase our share of the commercial lending sector. We are proud to have contributed approximately $1.2 million back to our local communities and we would hope that our continuing growth in profitability can see this number increase dramatically in future years.
Located mid way between Melbourne and Mildura on the Calder Highway, Charlton is the friendly river town. Situated on the banks of the Avoca River the town boasts a natural beauty. A newly constructed hospital, a multimillion dollar upgrade to the education facilities and approval granted to construct a multi-purpose building to house many of the towns sporting clubs; Charlton offers excellent amenities. Charlton’s origins are based on agriculture, and farming is still integral to the prosperity of the town. The area is also known for its local industries including the Charlton Feedlot which has a capacity to feed 20,000 cattle, Ingham Poultry and Boral Quarry.
