About Corporate Finance PCI

Portfolio Customer and Insights (PCI) is the Centre of Credit & Execution Excellence within Corporate Finance, and the broader C&IB business. PCI teams work closely with CIB Coverage and Product teams to manage the CIB customer portfolios.

About the role:

This Senior Associate role is a key role within the Resources, Infrastructure & Government PCI sector, which services both Institutional and Project Finance clients across Australia.  Primarily supporting the Infrastructure financing origination businesses, you’ll be part of team that provides origination support, credit analysis, deal execution and portfolio risk management functions on non-recourse structured finance transactions across the infrastructure sector.   Further, you’ll have an opportunity to build on your existing credit/analytical skills and client relationship skills, and play a key role in driving superior client outcomes, delivering world class client relationships and executing new lending transactions.


Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Structuring transactions and preparing credit submissions, employing financial modeling and making recommendations on transactions to credit.
  • Support transaction execution through the analysis and interpretation of financial modelling, due diligence and legal documentation
  • Workflow management between Client Coverage Team, Project Finance, PCI, and other Product Partners, to achieve seamless client experience.
  • Responsible for managing the ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of a client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is a good standard
  • Conduct research and analysis to develop industry/sector expertise and knowledge.
  • Attend internal and external stakeholders meetings where appropriate to support business outcomes while managing portfolio risks.
  • Provide guidance/coaching to graduates, interns and analysts where required.

About you:

A detail focused and a proactive self-starter, you’ll have exceptional inter-personal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment and connect with clients and key internal stakeholders.  This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills with the capability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and competing stakeholder expectations. Further core skills will include;

  • A minimum of 3-4 years Corporate Finance or related banking experience gained in a Project Finance or Infrastructure lending environment.
  • Tertiary qualified in Finance, Business (or related discipline), and
  • Well-developed financial modelling, risk assessment and credit writing skills.
