Your role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Compliance Manager to support the range of Wealth and Capital Markets businesses in all relevant areas.

Our platform is organised around five wealth management propositions; Property, Life and Super, Advice, Trustees and Investments.  We have internal expertise to support the operations of these businesses, enhance our investment performance and drive our marketing and digital capabilities in addition to our customer experience.

The incumbent will be required to:

Undertake a broad range of enablement, risk and compliance activities to ensure that Wealth & Capital Markets meets its strategic objectives whilst being complaint with all internal and external standards, regulations and compliance requirements.

Areas of focus:

  • MIS and unregistered scheme Compliance and Compliance Plans
  • Lodgements of reports and regulatory requirements (internal stakeholders and external bodies)
  • Knowledge of FATCA/CRS
  • APRA/ASIC On-line/Portal familiarity and working knowledge
  • System Risk and Compliance Attestations are maintained and changed as the business and people change
  • Assisting with Internal & External Audits
  • Reviewing scheme and marketing materials for compliance
  • Maintaining applicable internal registers
  • Issues, Breaches and Complaints reporting
  • Leadership , People  and Stakeholder Management

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in a compliance role preferably from the financial services /funds management sector
  • Experience dealing with senior management and regulators.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound change management skills and experience.
  • Thrive on challenges and be comfortable dealing with complexity and giving advice in that context;
  • Be a team player with a strong work ethic and able to work well with and collaborate across all parts of the team and the business;
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable dealing with and sorting out, difficult issues and challenges with your stakeholders;
