Part of the Wesfarmers family, this is your chance to join a business that is moving forward. The role will be based at our Store Support Office in North Geelong and moving to a brand new purpose built facility in Williams Landing, Melbourne in 2018 with flexible support in the interim to work between Geelong and Melbourne hot desk offices.
Your role will be to drive stock integrity and ensure systems and procedures allow stock to be in the right place at the right time to minimise shrinkage.
Areas You Will Influence:
- Analyse inventory transactions, liaising with key stakeholders and raising necessary adjustments to maintain stock integrity
- Complete weekly analysis of WAC (weighted average cost) transactions at product level liaising with Merchandise teams to correct margin issues
- Query investigation and resolution
- Actively participate in the stocktake investigation team with timely and accurate processing of stocktake counts and adjustments
- All daily and weekly transactions analysed and processed accurately and timely
- All Inventory queries are actioned within 48 hours.
- Improvement in the accuracy of inventory
- Reduction in the number of queries raised relating to incorrect stock on hand values
- All necessary adjustments are processed prior to stocktake apply
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in investigating systems and analysing data
- Ability to communicate across varied stakeholder levels
- Comfort in working deep in the detail and data
- Administration experience in fast paced retail environment
- Sound understanding of inventory systems and procedures
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of tools
- High level of integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of mathematical accuracy
- Strong analytic skills
- Team player
- High level of initiative
- Ability to develop strong working relationships to achieve objectives
