Our client is a world class energy provider with a diversified portfolio of power generation and retail power sales operations. Your role as Head of Risk is to provide strategic oversight and leadership of the development and management of the Enterprise Risk Framework, instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
You work to actively improve risk culture and compliance culture and the overall risk and control environment through raising awareness and understanding of risk and control concepts and their relevance to strategic and operational business activities.
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in influencing and supporting the Board, Executive Leadership Team and other senior business leaders through the provision of expert advice and reports, design and operation of risk and compliance frameworks and ongoing education and constructive challenge of business leaders.
About you:
- Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in Business, Law or engineering and have previous experience in leading a team.
- Extensive experience in a large integrated and process related business together with an understanding of corporate structures are considered essential skills.
- Substantial Industry experience in multiple aspects;
- Strong leadership experience in shaping business
- Systems and operational planning and reporting skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
