The Company

This resources organisation based in Peth CBD is seeking a motivated and driven all round Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. This organisation has a range of interesting projects and has gone through impressive growth over the last 3 years and continue to grow.

 

The Role

Our client requires an experienced Accounts Assistant to provide accurate and timely accounts administration in the head office in Perth. Duties and responsibilities will include:

Shared Accounts Payable:

  • Processing invoices (some in foreign currencies) through approval procedures.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders to ensure correct payment.
  • Manage incoming accounts payable queries via a busy inbox and phone.
  • Reconciliation of creditor statements.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Raising and distributing invoices
  • Processing debtor receipts
  • Emailing of statements to debtors
  • Weekly reporting on debtors and collections
  • Following in overdue invoices
  • Banking
  • Daily banking processing and reconciliation
  • Banking details checks for payments raised
  • Distribute monthly credit card statements and journaling
  • Exchange rate daily update and revaluations
  • End of month processing
  • Approved projects distribution and journaling
  • Accounts payable Audits checks
  • ABS surveys
  • Internal and external audit support
  • Providing a professional service to vendors, debtors and internal departments, answering queries and providing information promptly
  • Filing
  • Ad-hoc administrative support to the accounts team

About you

You must be a postive, pro-active, friendly and hands on individual who displays a strong work ethic, drive and passion to take on a dynamic, challenging yet satisfying opportunity in a supportive team environment.  Your profile will include:

  • Experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of international payments/transactions
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel
  • ERP system experience
  • Excellent communication, numerical skills and data entry skills
  • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently where required (shows initiative etc)
  • Accounts payable, Banking (reconciliations) and accounts receivable experience
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
