To help us on that journey, we’re looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Strategy & Regulatory Affairs team. Reporting to our Head of Legal & Compliance, your role is critical in ensuring our compliance with a range of laws and license conditions.
About the ROLE:
Working with all the key regulatory bodies and internal teams, this role focuses on ensuring CrownBet’s compliance with Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws, Northern Territory Racing Commission (NTRC) licence conditions and other applicable laws and policies across the business. Key accountabilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Managing CrownBet’s AML/CTF Program, including reporting, internal reviews and testing, independent reviews and seeking relevant approvals for amendments
- Ensuring that each business unit complies with the requirements under its AML/CTF Program
- Providing business with updates to any changes to AML/CTF laws legislation/regulation/AUSTRAC interpretations
- Adopt responsibility for CrownBet's compliance with NTRC imposed licence conditions
- Owning CrownBet's relationship with the NTRC and Licensing NT
- Helping build, implement and manage CrownBet’s Compliance Program
- Conducting regular audits to ensure the Program is working properly
- Conducting targeted, relevant training as required across the business
- Alerting the leadership team if there are any issues or risks to ensure appropriate action is taken
- Overseeing the response to law enforcement and sports and racing integrity requests.

- Experience building, implementing and maintaining a Compliance Program
- AML/CTF experience
- Ability to interpret and understand grey areas
- Ability to apply technical rules to real life situations
- Risk assessment capabilities
- Excellent communication skills & stakeholder management capabilities
- Project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree with a legal or compliance aspect would be viewed favourably
- Team oriented
