Job Description
Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane is currently seeking a passionate Hotel Accountant. Reporting to the Complex Assistant Director of Finance, the Hotel Accountant will be required to manage the daily accounting function ensuring timely and accurate input for the reporting timetables.
Key Duties include but are not limited too
- Ensure the daily tasks of Accounts Payable, Night Audit, Income Audit and Cash Reconciliation functions are being carried out timely, accurately and to required standards.
- Attend to the daily administration of the accounting office and identify and resolve problems in conjunction with respective members of staff.
- Review daily general cashier reports and monthly posting summary for accuracy and import into general ledger.
- Obtain daily rebates and review for adequacy of explanation and evidence of appropriate approval in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures.
- Assist in compliance to monthly Accounting checklists.
- Assist in monitoring the Hotel’s compliance to Corporate and internal Policies & Procedures and to implement new Policies & Procedures when necessary.
Essentials
- Previous experience within a similar position of a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Qualifications within Finance or Account is advantageous
- Full working rights in Australia
