BASIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Carry out the clerical tasks associated with general ledger schedule reconciliations and preliminary accounts payable tasks including the collating of information for processing at the Group Head Office.
  • Receipt cash sales, debtors’ payments and banking.
  • Maintain the daily dealership cashflow report.
  • General secretarial and bookkeeping functions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bank cash sales and payments from debtors.
  • Reconcile and collect outstanding debtors’ accounts.
  • Advise Department Manager of any unpaid cash sales invoices.
  • Review cash sales control account and ensure there are no outstanding cash sales invoices and report to the Dealer Principal.
  • Produce and distribute debtors’ statements monthly.
  • Processing of deals for vehicle sales
  • Liaison with Sales staff regarding requirements for Vehicle payouts, and then with Group Head Office regarding payments thereof.
  • Process RDA’s (for each manufacturer)
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bright personality
  • Basic bookkeeping skills
  • Accurate data entry and cash handling skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Computerised accounting system experience
We are looking for a self-motivated person with excellent organisational and communication skills.

You must be comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to handle competing deadlines and multiple tasks. A collaborative style in working with fellow workers is mandatory. Competent Microsoft Office and MS Excel skills are a must.
