As the Senior Risk Specialist, your role will provide an enterprise-wide view of the status of risk management activities, processes and behaviours used and demonstrated throughout the organisation. This will include front line staff as well as national office teams.
Reporting to the Risk Maturity Program Lead (Strategy and Risk, you will support the Program Lead to deliver a detailed assessment of the risk maturity across each division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of tasks including:
- Manage the development of interview questionnaires, surveys and focus group material to capture information
- Drive the develop assessment criteria and methodology across the each mode of information capture (ie Interviews, Surveys and Focus Groups)
- Review the Agency's Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Framework's to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Assist with leading the facilitation of Interviews, Focus Groups, Surveys and capture results for review and assessment
- Lead the identification, analysis, evaluation and reporting on key metrics to assist with assessing risk maturity
- Provide program/stream level analysis - producing required analysis documentation
- Support and align efforts to meet Strategic Program needs
- Lead or participate in Program streams by completing and updating program documentation; managing program scope; adjusting schedules when necessary in line with agreed program management governance arrangements
To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, be a strong communicator and a demonstrated capacity in stakeholder management.
You will have a strong strategic focus and experience in implementing risk management activities across complex and multifaceted operating environments, based on AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 and/or CPS220 including;
- 8-10 years' experience working within an Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance function or related projects
- Experience with risk maturity models and the underlying elements and how to assess a business's level of maturity using proof points
- Written and oral communication skills of a high standard, including experience in reporting to a Board and its committees regarding risk issues
