Great opportunity for a qualified and experienced full time or four day part-time tax accountant.
We are a long established chartered firm in Sydney CBD with modern systems and work practices. Due to expansion of our business, we are seeking a senior accountant to fill a new role. We offer competitive remuneration for the right person.
Duties within this role include:
- Company, partnership, trust, SMSF and complex individual tax returns
- GST, IAS and BAS
- Financial Statements for Company, partnership, trust and SMSF
- Client interview and day to day client contact
- Tax Advice and Tax Planning
- Liaison with the ATO, ASIC regarding registrations, lodgment matters & related inquiries
- Registrations for ABN, TFN, GST etc
Skills and personal attributes:
- 5+ years working within local professional practice
- Accounting Degree is essential
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion
- Experience with investor clients, CGT, foreign income, share portfolios and investment properties is essential.
- Sound technical knowledge in PSI rules and Division 7A etc.
- The use of Handisoft, BGL Simple Fund, MYOB AccountRight and Xero is preferable
- Excellent communication – written and verbal
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with little supervision
