About the Role
This role represents a unique opportunity to work within a small but dynamic finance team at Doma Hotels.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Central Reservations Manager, the responsibilities of this role may include any or all of the following:
- Daily transaction journals and takings
- Manage and update hotel guest’s chargebacks and post client payments in Opera as received
- Email invoices to tenants, travel agents and companies, including Doma Head Office accounts
- Prepare guest ledger and AR ledgers reports at EOM as required
- Validate, reconcile and process invoices for commissions received via NetTrans and other sources
- Manage and reconcile cash settlements
- Generate hotel statistics and upload into Sun on a weekly and monthly basis
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes brought up by clients
- Monitor advance purchase bookings made through online travel agents and ensure charges are applied for cancellations made outside of the policy and following up open folios and aged accounts
Your Skills and Experience
Ideally you will hold a degree in accounting or similar and have of work experience in a similar position, preferably within a hotel company.
You are highly analytical and possess an excellent eye for detail. You are able to prioritise and work under pressure from time to time. Experience working with SUN, Opera PMS and Online Travel Agent extranets would be preferable.
This role would suit someone with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively by email and on the phone.
