About the business

Since the establishment of "I Love Dumplings" in 2011, it has rapidly developed into a well-known modern Chinese Cuisine brand in Melbourne with five restaurants in Melbourne CBD, Richmond, Flemington, Brunswick and St Kilda. The group have big plans to take the business to become a franchise model and we are currently recruiting for an accountant to take the reins and lift the bar to get them there.

About the role

Job Description

• Handle daily accounting functions, general ledger reconciliation for multiple entities
• Maintain end-to-end Account payables & Account Receivables
• Prepare weekly sales reports
• Maintain of fix asset register
• Assist to prepare a variety of management report such as P & L reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
• Assist in ad-hoc accounting projects such as audits and budgets & forecasts
• Look after month end related duties including accruals, fixed assets, stock and balance sheet reconciliations
• Contribute to process improvement
• Basic administration such as filing, copying and data entry

Skills and experience

Key Skills

• Minimum 12 months experience in an all-round accounting role
• Degree qualified in accounting
• Exposure to accounting activities in hospitality operations, retail food and beverage is highly desirable.
• Fast accurate data entry and attention to detail
• Well-developed IT knowledge and skills such as Microsoft full suite
• XERO experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Mandarin speaking is preferred but not necessary
• You will be enthusiastic, eager to learn and demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile.
