The Company:
This well-known organisation based in the Hills District is looking to appoint an experienced and self-managed Accounts Payable Officer. Continuing to go from strength to strength, they’re highly regarded within their field for their quality products, high level service and strong internal culture.
The Role:
As an integral member of the AP team and the broader finance function, you’re role will include;
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Audit and process credit card bills
- Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Complete Credit applications
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in weekly and month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have atleast 6yrs account spayable experience along with a stable background. resume outlining their proven experience in accounts payable. Ability to meet deadlines, strong reconciliation skills and highly developed interpersonal with the ability to build relationships with relevant internal stakeholders. Your previous systems experience, intermediate MS Excel skills, ability to think outside the square and meet strict deadlines combined with your energetic and independent nature will see you succeed in this role.
