The Commonwealth Bank’s Financial Services Division is led by the Group’s CFO and provides specialist advice, strategies, information and policies on financial and capital management as well as comprehensive investor relations. This role lies within the Group Support Services Finance (GSSF) team is part of Group Finance. They provide finance support to the Group’s support units:

  • Financial Services (including Property)
  • Marketing and Strategy
  • Risk Management
  • Human Resources
  • Group Corporate Affairs
  • Corporate Centre

The Group Support Services Finance function adds value by providing financial control, planning, decision support, insights and financial advice to the support unit leadership teams.

Do work that matters

The role provides financial support to the Financial Services division with a focus on supporting the Group Property & Security space. Specifically, to produce timely, accurate and relevant business focused monthly performance reports, assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, as well as provide variance analysis and financial insights.

In this business partnering role you’ll be supporting the team, providing:

  • End to end management of the month end, year-end accounting process including accruals and reconciliations and reporting and analysis of FTE.
  • Monthly management reporting and analysis with a focus on insight and in-depth value add analysis that drives business decisions and encourages change.
  • Reviewing monthly expense allocations and providing insight.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly forecasting and budgeting as required by Group including uploading into the budgeting tool as required.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling as required.

  • CA, CPA, CFA, CIMA Tertiary Qualification
