Our client is a leading grains business in the global trading market with strong ties to the Australian market and wider Asian supply chain space. Due to an internal change, an opportunity has arisen to join this team as the lead financial asset in the Melbourne office.
The primary purpose for this position will be the complete and accurate accounting of trade related transactions within the business and to ensure the compliance of transfer pricing rules by the thorough documenting of all transactions in accordance with legislative requirements. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be split across general finance reporting for the business and an acute understanding for the technical operations of the various systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Financing and FX settlements
- Processing of business insurances, payroll management and full finance functions.
- Manage and process all month end/balance sheet reporting requirements
- Development and ongoing support of the business orientated system
- Ensure company is satisfying all relevant documentation in accordance with local legislative requirements
The successful candidate will ideally come from a background within the grains industry, or a close affiliation with it. You will be degree qualified and have in excess of 3 years+ experience across an accounting position. Your verbal and written communications skills will be highly advanced, and you will be able to demonstrate an ability to work within a team environment. You will have strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach and enjoy exercising these skills. Experience with Grainsmart or Grainsoft system will be highly regarded.
