Permanent assistant accounting position based in the western suburbs!
Your new company
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. Based in the western suburbs, you will be working closely with the chief financial officer to assist with various accounting support duties.
Your new role
As an assistant accountant you will manage the analysis of financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger, documenting business transactions, receipting, distributes expenditures and the full function process of accounts receivable/Payables. You will also assist with proper handling of financial transactions and the approval of transactions within certain limits. You will also assist with the statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes. Analyses of financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital, the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarise.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will be studying towards your CPA. You will have a can do attitude to work and strong attention to detail. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be system savvy including an intermediate skill level of Microsoft Word and Excel. Due to the nature of the organisation it is also essential that you have a background working with the manufacturing industry.
