Are you passionate about finance system, process and reporting improvements? Then we have a challenge for you!
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, motivated and passionate finance professional to join our friendly team located in our Sydney CBD office. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the improvement and enhancement of the financial analysis, planning and reporting capability of the Coal Services Group.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage and implement a continuous improvement program across the finance function
- Improve and enhance the financial reporting and planning capability
- Drive efficiency and quality improvements through automation and improved processes across the finance function
- Develop user friendly management tools and reports for regular distribution and financial monitoring
- Improve reporting to provide insightful analysis to drive better financial outcomes
- Enhance the financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting processes as required
- Review and optimisation of AR & AP systems and processes
- Improve the integration between all finance functions where possible
- Effective internal and external stakeholder management
To be successful you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or commerce and CA/CPA or equivalent
- Solid experience in a finance/accounting/planning/reporting environment
- Solid experience designing and developing meaningful management reports
- Solid experience implementing finance process and system utilisation changes
- An understanding of general and subsidiary ledger accounting
- An understanding of financial reporting practices
- Advanced ability using Microsoft Excel (including VBA)
- Demonstrated data manipulation and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and design system utilisation improvements
- A friendly, professional and approachable personality
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Advantageous but not essential:
- Database utilisation (SQL)
- Previous experience with Agresso Unit4 financial software
- Insurance industry experience
