Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Accounts Officer will perform a variety of duties.
Key duties will be:
- Review and process accounts payables and accounts receivables
- Process Payroll for employees twice per month
- Generate client invoices twice per month and distribute to clients
- Enter and maintain new CAREGivers into payroll system
- Prepare and make bank deposits on a regular basis as scheduled
- Process Superannuation as legislated
- Maintain accurate administration and financial records to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the company
- Manage ageing debtors to ensure all invoices are paid within appropriate timeframes.
- Reconcile petty cash as required
- Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in People Planner (PP).
- Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
- Route calls to appropriate party
Skills and experience
- Graduate with Financial/Accounting background
- An outgoing personality with high energy levels and strong communication skills
- Accurate Computer skills (MS Office) and previous office administration experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- A demonstrated empathy to the needs of older people
