Our client is a specialist insolvency accounting and advisory firm located in the heart of Parramatta, that offer clients tailored and practical advice drawing on our extensive experience across Business Strategy, Business Turnaround, Insolvency as well as Investigations and Forensic Services.
A new opportunity has arisen to join this dedicated, specialist-chartered accounting firm as an insolvency accountant supervisor. You will work as part of the corporate insolvency team on formal and informal engagements. This is an opportunity for you to develop a range of skills from the diverse disciplines of accounting analysis and interpretation, business management, business and asset divestment, commercial law, risk management, litigation and financial reporting.
Role Responsibilities:
• Ensuring you and your team manage and deal with all client insolvency matters
• Supervise a team of 4-5 insolvency professionals and mentor them technically and professionally
• Be viewed as a technical insolvency expert both internally and with clients
• Manage internal stakeholders and follow up outstanding information on client files
• Comply with Bankruptcy Act and follow all department compliance policies and procedures
• Processing insolvency administration in line with all statutory compliance & legislation guidelines
• Investigation and reporting
• Technical report writing on a range of matters
Experience and Qualities Required:
• Minimum of 5+ yrs. experience in corporate insolvency in a similar role within a professional practice
• CA/CPA qualification
• Competent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and ideally MYOB)
• A sound understanding around the importance of compliance guidelines
• Exceptional written communication and strong technical report writing experience
• Effectively manage a steady and high-volume workload with 100% accuracy
• A proven track record of leading a team to success whilst being self-motivated and focused
• Must have leadership and people management experience within insolvency
• High level of motivation, a positive attitude, resourcefulness and initiative is required.
