Role: Lead commercial strategy, partner with co-founders to drive EV, build, establish and manage a new finance team
Role Overview / Description
Reporting to the co-founders, the Head of Finance is responsible for setting out the strategic flight path for this organisation and providng leadership to a brand new finance team you will handpick yourself. This role will involve you in driving organisational growth, building flexible financial and non-financial models, KPI and target setting processes, as well as ensuring there is accuracy and timeliness in month end reporting. Key to this role as part of your mandate will be to build out a best in class finance team capable of providing genuine commercial insight into the business that will allow the organisation to fuel its EV for this is truly a leadership role within the business.
Previous experience in Strategy, Executive Decision Support, Forecasting, Financial Control and a genuine passion to work for a startup will set you apart in being successful for this role. The candidate must have experience working within a startup or within an online technology space, willing to build a team up from ground zero and have ability to provide thought leadership around analytics and decision support. You will be expected to travel internationally as you and the Co-Founders look to cement new international markets.

- Drive Corporate Strategy to maximise EV
- Strategic financial planning & forecasting
- End to end month reporting
- Build, coach, mentor and lead a small sized team
- Legal, compliance and risk management.
Candidate Profile
You are an MBA or CA/CPA qualified Finance Professional who is seasoned in ramping up startups in an online technology based organisation. You may currently be sitting in a Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller role for a tech startup looking for your first shot at a Head of Finance role. Either way, you will bring to the role a track record of leading and inspiring with positive energy as well as providing strategic steer through the application of big data and startup metrics.
