Here you will be part of a high performance team who are seeking a driven individual to bring their financial expertise to the table and add value to their business. Within this role you will put systems and processes in place to take this business to the next level.
This is a challenging but exciting role which is a mix of hands-on and strategic where you will oversee the financial functions within the business and have input into important business decisions. Your ability to come on board, learn the business, put the right processes in place and then oversee to ensure everything is running smoothly is critical to the success of this role.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee smooth running of the finance team and it’s functions
- Implement systems and procedures to assist the business and it’s continued growth plans
- Preparation of P&L, budgets and forecasts plus GL management
- Manage the debtors, creditors and payroll
- Cash flow management
- Maintain the company’s fixed asset register
- Statutory accounting for GST, BAS, Payroll Tax
- Provide strategic level advice to leadership team
- Financial analysis to assist in decision making for new initiatives, profit improvement projects, etc
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Fleet management
- Manage insurance claims
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes:
- CA/CPA qualifications
- Financial analysis/financial modeling experience highly regarded
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to provide sound advice to aid business critical decisions and new growth initiatives
- Proven experience implementing financial systems and processes within a business
- Advanced Excel essential
- Strong analytical and outstanding problem solving ability
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Driven, energetic and passionate about what you do!
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high volume environment – happy to roll your sleeves up and be hands on as well as leading a small team
