This is an excellent opportunity to join Alfagomma in the accounts team as a Payroll Officer. The principle responsibilities of the Payroll Officer are to manage the processing of the monthly and weekly payroll and manage workers compensation claims for all employees.
Responsibilities include;
- Accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly wage and salary payments.
- Perform time sheet calculation and data entry deduction calculations and maintenance, reporting and file maintenance, manual checks, pay increases and Workers Compensation payments.
- Record employee information, such as transfers and resignations, in order to maintain an update payroll records.
- Prepare calculations and processing of termination pays and redundancy payments where required.
- Coordination of superannuation contributions to ensure statutory requirements.
- Maintain reports and payroll transactions to support the integrity of the system and to meet audit requirements.
- Ensure the security and maintenance of personnel files and other related information.
- Provide accurate information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, employee salaries in accordance with relevant awards and legislative provisions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and legislative requirements as relevant to the position including taxation, superannuation and Workers Compensation.
