An excellent opportunity has become available for a new Finance Manager to join an international manufacturer/retailer. This role will be responsible for building the back office functions for the organisation and working with the parent company in Europe to identify opportunities for growth.
Working as part of a dedicated and high performing team reporting to the General Manager in Sydney, you will take ownership for the following tasks:
- Review and preparation of monthly financial reports
- Lead all month end processes including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, etc.
- Monthly management reporting including analysis of balance sheet and commentary at a transactional level
- Partnering with key stakeholders in the business to drive growth and development
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Develop a strong network of advisors including banks, lawyers, etc.
- Manage working capital
- FBT & GST.
- Staff supervision
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Big 4 or 2nd tier Chartered experience highly desirable
- Strong financial reporting and tax background
- Experience of consolidating complex accounts
- Ability to build relationships and provide commercial analysis to diverse stakeholders
In addition to strong technical skills you will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable building and maintaining senior level relationships across both finance and the business.
