Novotel Brisbane Airport is seeking an experienced and results driven Hotel Accountant.

Brisbane's first dedicated Airport hotel, Novotel Brisbane Airport is the focal point of one of Brisbane's fast-growing areas, the Skygate precinct.

This four-and-a-half-star hotel features 157 guest rooms, 6 meeting rooms, Restaurant & Bar, a rooftop lap pool, gymnasium and sauna.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day accounts of the hotel, display effective problem-solving skills and the ability to provide assistance and advice to the operational management team on financial matters.

Duties for the role include but not limited to:

• Responsible for all financial information provided to the General Manager and Owners.
• Monitor all financial systems for the hotel.
• Ensure that policies and procedures and internal controls are operating effectively.
• Prepare of monthly and annual financial reports.
• Work closely with Department Managers to develop effective measures to enhance their department's profitability.
• Assist in the compiling Annual budgets.

 The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

• 1-2 years previous experience as a Hotel Accountant or similar role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively time manage large volume work load, to meet deadlines and work well under pressure situations.
• Experience using Microsoft office, Sun systems, Wage easy, Opera and Time Target.
• Authentic customer service, interpersonal & communication skills & be flexible in your approach to resolve issues.
