Reports to:         Group Financial Controller
Our client is a leading renewable energy developer & provider of expert services into the renewable energy industry.

This is a highly commercial role working for a newly established Australian subsidiary of the Group company.  The Financial Controller will head the administrative functions for Australia operations including finance, facilities and procurement.  This role will be responsible for the management accounts preparation with interrogation and analysis along with budgeting, forecasting and treasury for all local activities.  The role will work closely with the [Head of Construction Australia], group finance, procurement and HR teams to manage and oversee the operation of the finance and administrative functions to implement financial control and provide support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure health and safety is at the forefront of all decision making
  • Trusted business partner and financial support for senior client facing staff
  • Timely and accurate preparation and review of results of Australian divisions
  • Monthly presentations and challenge of results to executive teams
  • Management and monitoring of client and supplier contract profitability
  • Management of budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Managing Australian statutory accounts and tax returns
  • All local treasury and cash flows
  • Process local invoices
  • Manage local payroll process and procedures
  • Work with auditors ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Company systems, databases, policies and procedures
  • New supplier review and sign off
  • Manage and control local procurement
  • Negotiate and manage local insurance contracts
  • Manage the local office
  
Experience: A qualified or part qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in industry. However, this role is also suitable for persons qualified by experience who demonstrate the key skills and experience required for this role.
Education: Accountancy body qualification (part qualified or qualified) CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT
