Located in Sydney’s Western Suburbs is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the CFO some of your key accountabilities will include:

• Leading and managing a finance team – they’re a fairly new team and will be looking for guidance and mentoring as they go through an exciting period of growth and change

• Ensuring all financial reporting and accounting information (cost centres, Board reports, grant acquittals etc) are finalised within agreed timeframes

• Financial analysis – (fixed assets, balance sheets, operating results in terms of costing and budgets)

• Cash flow forecasting

• Budgeting – including capex proposals and annual operating budgets

• Staff management and appraisals

• Overseeing the transition from a cash to cashless business model

THE CANDIDATE:

To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within a similar role where you have managed a small team – you may have been exposed to the leisure industry where you have managed multiple sites or clubs that all filter back to one main finance team

• The kind of personality that isn’t afraid to sit down with the CFO and CEO and tell it how it is – they don’t want to hear what you think they want to hear, they want you to tell it how it is. The ideal candidate is someone who is confident to assert themselves without coming across as arrogant or inflexible

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• The desire to join a dynamic environment currently experiencing high volume change due to significant growth – the CEO and CFO are some of the most passionate people you will meet and they’re hoping their next Finance Manager will share their passion

• A sense of humour – an absolute must as you will work within a team that are incredibly committed yet also know how to have a good time
