The role
You will support Senior Management through the provision of the Five Year Plan, Budget, and Forecast. Conduct detailed analysis of the monthly result including budget variance analysis and commentary.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing financial results for the Bank on key financial and non-financial measures
- Monitor current year performance - identifying early indicators of opportunities or threats to achieving financial and non-financial performance targets and supporting initiatives where appropriate.
- Involvement in full year external results analysis
- Able to present financial information in a clear way that highlights key business drivers
- Check results, run queries within the General Ledger
- Analyse and verify "actual" vs "forecast/target" results
- Answer any ad-hoc queries arising from the business
- Work effectively with other finance counterparts and business partners to create an efficient customer focused finance function which provides value added financial services
- Involvement in target / forecast setting modelling.
Essential skills and criteria
- Relevant tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
- Postgraduate qualification - CA, CPA, CFA or Masters.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Financial Services Reporting and Analysis Role/Management Accounting
- Financial Services experience, preferably Banking strongly desire
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling
- Strong and confident interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management.
- Strong self-motivation and drive, including planning and organisational skills to ensure the deliverables are met on time.
