THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on, Senior Accountant with client management responsibilities to complement our business services team, assisting in the development of other accountants with whom you work.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
-The preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of entities, businesses and self-managed superannuation funds
-Responsibility for a group of clients and liaising with them on a regular basis
-Reporting directly to the Director on a number of client assignments
-Ensuring compliance with income tax, GST and BAS
-Supervising and reviewing junior accountants
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, it is envisioned that you will have:
-A minimum of 5 years' experience in an Australian public practice, specifically in tax and business services
-CA, CPA or IPA qualified
-High level of technical expertise and attention to detail
-Pro-active, self-starter
-Excellent presentation and communication skills
-Fluent proficiency in verbal and written English
-Sound working knowledge of accounting tools such as Xero, Banklink, MYOB, MYOB AE, MYOB Classic
