Essentially the position involves the following:
- Prepare weekly payroll and adhere to superannuation procedures
- Manage all accounts payables and accounts receivables through MYOB
- Manage all venue reconciliations
- Prepare gaming reports and revenue allocations as well as weekly bar and bistro takings
- Preparing Monthly PAYG and Qtly BAS return
- Report and monitor performance including pricing, cost and margin analysis, budget variances and cash flow forecasting to the Board of Directors
- Prepare the annual Community Benefits Statement
- Compliance issues including tax, accounting and business risk
- Commercial matters including insurance, contacts and credit terms with suppliers
- Month end procedures, general journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L review
- Accounting including bank reconciliations, minimising outstanding debt, payroll and expense claims
- Review of accounting policies & procedures in order to improving efficiency and compliance
- Communicate with the CEO encouraging clear discussion and adherence to financial policy
- Provide the CEO with sound financial advice and support for making business decisions
- Liaise with ATO and State Revenue
- Liaise with external accounting company (Annual Audit process)
- Prepare for and assist in the annual audit process.
- Preparation of Financial Models, cashflows, weekly financial snapshots of each division, pricing models and forecasting
- Prepare budgets and perform monthly variance analysis and investigation
- Actual versus budget analysis
- Costing and margin analysis and evaluation
- Preparation, analysis, completion of profit and loss report and sales management reporting
- Continuous improvement of financial and operational performance
- Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
