About the role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for improving project delivery, performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods, strategies and processes.
You will:
- Work closely with the audio visual installations team to ensure client projects are delivered in a professional, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements
- Work with clients to develop project delivery timelines and coordinate and schedule staff and subcontractors accordingly
- Develop or improve operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organisational well-being, growth and success
- Develop or improve documentation for internal processes and for client projects such as scope of works and as-built documentation
- Purchase hardware and materials, plan inventory and ensure warehouse efficiency
- Contribute towards the achievement of company's strategic and operational objectives
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, and examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability
- Perform quality controls and develop and monitor KPI's
- Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources
- Oversee customer service and support ensuring SLAs are being met and ongoing customer satisfaction is acheived
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate trading terms and coordinate timely delivery of products and services
Skills and experience
Preferred skills and experience:
- Proven work experience as an operations manager or similar
- Adequate knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
- Budget development and oversight experience
- Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices
- Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
- Leadership and organisational skills
- Work well with deadlines and remain calm under pressure
