Sales and Technical Specialist
A focus on supporting customers through responsive, technical service and order fulfillment, separates Safe Direction from its competitors and has seen it outpace the growth of a strong market. Our key client base is small to medium contracting companies and state government road agencies.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Technical Sales Specialist with proven account management experience. This role reports directly to the Business Development Manager and is a role suited to an autonomous individual with initiative, tenacity and technical aptitude. The applicant will ideally possess a diploma or graduate qualification in engineering, building or quantity surveying or alternatively have equivalent industry experience.
The role:
- Responsible for account managing both new and existing customers with a key focus to drive new products
- Review plans and assemble material take-offs
- Technical sales representation (often consultative) and product support
- Research, identify and analyse sales opportunities and take relevant action to secure customer and market share
Required Experience:
- Proven industry experience or sales experience in a technical industry while not required would be advantageous
- Demonstrated customer relationship management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisation and time management skills are essential to be successful in this role.
