About the business

Hemp Foods Australia is the largest Australian Certified Organic Hemp Food Wholesaler, Retailer, Manufacturer and Exporter in Australia.

Our production operation is located in Bangalow in Northern NSW. We are a dynamic and fast growing company, earlier this year listing on the Australian Stock Exchange as part of the Elixiinol Global group. 

Since our inception in 1999, Hemp Foods Australia has been researching and developing the potential for an Australian hemp foods market. This has been ramped up since 2013 where we have now created The Southern Hemispheres largest hemp foods processing plant. 

Since Hemp Foods were made legal for consumption in Australia (November 12th, 2017) we now have our HACCP certification. We are active in supplying the Health Food, Grocery and Food Manufacturers in Australia in 2018, with a plan to also further grow the export markets we are active in including Japan, South Korea, North America and Europe.

About the role

Based on continued business growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for a results driven and passionate sales professional, to join the Hemp Foods Australia sales operation. We are looking to hire a Victorian Sales Territory Manager, which is ideally based out of Melbourne.

The successful applicant will be highly self motivated and self sufficient, as he/she will be working remotely from a home office, away from the companies main operation in Northern NSW. You will be supported at least once per month by the Sales Manager &/or Key Account Manager in the field, as well as visit our head office.

To be successful in this Sales Territory Manager's role, your current career background should be clearly identifiable towards your ability in:

- Achieving your annual sales budget targets (sales to budget).
- Efficiently and effectively managing your sales territory, covering both Distributors & Wholesalers accounts, as well as Bulk ingredient manufacturers.
- Updating the CRM system daily with accurate records of customer calls.
- Gathering of market intelligence & execution of marketing activities.

Skills and experience

To therefore be considered for this exciting opportunity, we are now seeking to hear from applicants who possess:

A proven experience in delivering results in sales. in the health food sector. It is desirable that the candidate has sales experience in one or more of the following sales categories; health food stores, pharmacy and /or independent grocery channels.

The above combined with a knowledge of health food ingredients would be desirable, as you will also need to engage with Product Development and Innovation contacts, when selling to food manufacturers

We are looking for an individual that above everything can demonstrate genuine sales ability and an eagerness to get results with Australia's best known hemp foods company.

Further qualities that would be expected from the suitable candidate include:

- Strong communication and influencing skills and be both energetic and engaging with a strong commercial focus.
- Good business acumen and good planning skills, delivering on performance and revenue targets.
- Excellent organisational skills. Do you have a track record of effectively managing your customer base whilst minimising downtime and non-sales related activities? 
- An interest and ability to embrace innovation and new ways of doing things. You will possess intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Adoption of technology is a strong focus for the business.

- The ability to work autonomously, but engage with sales, customer service and marketing team to reach overall goals.
