Detail information about job Relationships and CRM Coordinator. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Develop business through partnerships
  • Unique role
  • Make a contribution in the Disability sector

IDEAS supports people with disabilities Australia-wide by providing quality information through its websites, a telephone support line, training, consulting, print publications and community events.

The changes taking place in the Disability sector are considered to be one of Australia’s most significant social reforms. Ensuring people with disabilities, their families and carers, have access to information becomes more important with these changes and IDEAS is well positioned to be the premier, national provider of independent disability information.

The coming year will be one of change, growth and expansion and we are seeking additional staff to join us. If you are committed to social justice and equity, and understand the needs and rights of people with disability, we are keen to hear from you. As we are a small organisation operating in a rapidly changing environment, we value team-work, initiative and adaptability.

We are seeking a Relationships and CRM Co-ordinator to assist in implementing our business development strategy. We have scope to build our business in a range of areas, and this role primarily involves developing those business opportunities, including managing aspects of our Corporate Partnership project.

Specifically, this involves:

  • Identifying key potential partners and developing relationships with those organisations;
  • Developing strategies for the establishment and maintenance of partnerships;
  • Building on existing relationships;
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals;
  • Identifying and pursuing potential leads for consulting work;
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of any arrangements; and
  • Managing relevant databases.

To be successful in this role you will have advanced interpersonal and communication skills – you will be an effective, professional and influential communicator, able to articulate the IDEAS’ value proposition and engage stakeholders. You may come from a sales background and you will certainly have strength in pursuing opportunities, following up, negotiating and finalising deals.

You will also:

  • be a pro-active and effective networker, with proven networking experience and skills;
  • be able to identify, establish and maintain appropriate contacts and relationships;
  • have sound business acumen;
  • be an effective and professional negotiator;
  • have a solid understanding of the disability sector;
  • hold qualifications (or equivalent experience) in disability services, community services, public relations, marketing or business management and
  • Experience in a business/strategic development, marketing, public relations, or sales role.

This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a small, multi-disciplined and professional team making a contribution to the empowerment of people with disability. Working on a broad range of initiatives and working to IDEAS’s strategic business plan, you will further develop your business, networking and marketing skills and build experience in the not-for-profit sector.

The position is full-time, and may be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne for one year (with the possibility of extension). Some travel will be required. SCHADS Award provisions apply, with generous salary packaging available.

If you would like to discuss this role further, please contact Marlissa van Heerwaarden on 0427 011 988.

Applications (including Resume) detailing your skills, qualifications and experience should be emailed to [email protected] by 13 July 2018.

As a member-based organisation, led by people with disability, IDEAS encourages applications from people with disability.
