About the role

Reporting to the Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for engaging with Architects, Builders, Landscape Architects and End Users across Sydney.  You will identify potential project opportunities with new and existing clients. Work closely with them to assess their requirements and deliver unique and innovative solutions to meet there needs.

 

The main functions of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships in the commercial specification market
  • Present and promote product/service offering to existing and prospective clients
  • Track projects and provide status reports
  • Keep abreast of best practices in market and communicate trends back to the business

 

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Proven and demonstrated background in specification sales, with a reference able contact base of architects and builders 
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial construction
  • Proven performer, with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Ability to manage a defined sales process and influence key stakeholders through the project process
  • Technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new products / applications and design concepts
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Innovative thinker, who will challenge themselves and the business to deliver unique solutions for clients
  • High levels of commitment, desire, enthusiasm and a positive demeanour
