We currently have an opportunity for a Sales Representative - Specification (BIM Specialist) based in Melbourne, Australia to generate new business within the commercial construction and building industry. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role will deliver technical advice and drive specifications directly with Architects.

Critically yo will bring your proven experience within the Architecture and Design community and a strong desire to hunt for new business.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Securing plans from Architects and Commercial Builders to ensure our products are specified and supplied
  • Driving growth by developing key relationships
  • Monitoring competitor/customer activity
  • Reporting market intelligence on business opportunities and new markets
  • Tracking projects from early stages until completion using our CRM system
  • Demonstratitng your products' effectiveness to potential customers
  • BIM (AAOS) - Effectively monitor, maintain and recommend marketing strategies related to BIM technologies
  • Provide support to the sales team, for BIM and AAOS Technologies.

You will have a proven sales background within the archittectural, construction and building industries. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in architecture or design.

To be considered suitable for this role, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience and a network in Architectural practices
  • The ability to read and interpret commerical building plans
  • A knowledge of Architectural software packages
  • Knowledge of the commerical construction industry and its processes
  • A good general mix of business acumen and computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written
  • The ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Working knowledge of BCA and local standards
  • Proven experience in tracking projects from design to completion.
