KONE provides elevators and escalators for buildings of all sizes, from low-rise housing to the world's tallest skyscrapers. Our New Equipment Business (NEB) manages the sales and installation of new elevators and escalators into these buildings. We offer innovative solutions for people flow, delivered by world class installation processes that ensure safety is our number one priority.

We have an opportunity in the New Installation business of our Southern (VIC/TAS) region, where you will lead a small sales team. As a member of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the South West Regional Director , this is a significant opportunity to contribute to the future success of our business. We need a strong and engaging leader, capable of driving change and developing a proactive and customer focused sales team.

You will proactively develop customer relationships and ensure that your team is motivated and engaged, with a focus on delivering customer solutions and also strong discipline with regards to CRM utilisation and positive interactions with internal stakeholders such as the Installation Delivery team. Furthermore you will take responsibility for the regular forecasting and reporting requirements, in addition to regular interactions with key stakeholders - both internal and external. This role will suit a results driven sales manager who has the desire and focus to build a high achieving team.

What will you be doing?

  • Reporting to the South West Regional Director
  • Develop a strong and engaged team, with a true customer mindset and a proactive approach to delivering results
  • Proactively develop customer relationships and have a connection with people in the Business.
  • Lead your team to meet targeted KPIs
  • The ability to build rapport and resolve customer issues in a constructive manner.
  • Understand the customer needs and requirements to capitalise on all lead opportunities, orders and contracts to meet sales and pricing targets.
  • Ensure your team are meeting sales targets and ensure margins are within KONE guidelines
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting and forecasting

Are you the one?

  • Proven track record as a Sales manager ideally within one of the following industries - Construction & Building, HVAC, Commercial manufacturing.
  • Passion for developing, coaching and engaging with your people
  • Have a true customer mindset - enjoy engaging and meeting with customers and developing solutions for them
  • Relevant industry experience working within a technical business with strong process and exposure to construction, design or business management solutions is ideal.
  • Strong understanding of tendering for business and contracts - commercial awareness of risk
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • A passion for sales, with a proven track record and a strong customer focus
  • Highly competent computer skills
  • High levels of numeracy - capacity to produce accurate reports, forecasts and pricing
