My client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their QLD team and slot into one of the most senior positions in the state. They are a one of the most respected and established high-end architectural lighting suppliers in Australia and represent some of Europe’s most premium brands.

Role
Reporting to the National Sales Director you will be responsible for identifying and gaining specifications in key commercial projects within the state and establishing strong relationships with the major engineers, architects and designers in the Brisbane region. This role is highly autonomous and to succeed you must have a strategic focus on sales and an in-depth knowledge of commercial lighting that you can utilise to solve client’s aesthetic and technical problems. Effective use of project tracking software such as BCI & Cordell, and the ability to drive effective new client development is critical.

Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Commercial & Residential lighting sales and specification experience
  • Experience in completing large scale high-value projects
  • An Interior Design, Engineering or equivalent trade background
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, coaching and mentoring sales teams 
  • Strong understanding of the specification/fit-out process
  • High degree of energy, self motivation and desire to be rewarded with your hard efforts 
  • Existing strong relationships with commercial specifiers that you can leverage from
  • Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role
