The business of this organisation is all around information assurance and security. The successful applicant will therefore need to understand Information Technology and how it plays a critical role within an organisation. If you have a good understanding of IT Cyber security then all the better.

This is not aggressive sales, it is about intelligent, consultative selling and we need applicants who reflect these skills. We need people with a proven track record in new business, someone with high energy levels and with their own ideas of who they want to sell to. We need self-starters and self thinkers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Making highly qualified appointments for the external sales team via new business calls
  • Researching organisations and markets to develop new prospects, leads and opportunities
  • Produce strategy and business plans to penetrate specific target markets
  • Manage and develop accounts to maximise both client satisfaction and revenue
  • Work as a team with the Senior BDM to manage the sales cycle
  • Maintain accurate Customer Relationship Management records

Experience and skills required:

  • Direct new business experience
  • IT literacy – understanding of typical terms used in corporate IT environments
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication of value proposition
  • Proven ability to generate leads and set new appointments up to C level
  • Have a ‘hunting’ attitude and tenacity for the sale
  • Ability to identify new markets and opportunities
  • Consultative sales approach – selling solutions
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Initiative - Self-starting and proactive in work; volunteers to take on assignments
  • Experience of the IT Security Market is highly desirable but not essential
