Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of the Ricoh Sales Team you are expected to continually look at ways to grow business opportunities for Ricoh through leveraging digital and traditional marketing, networking, vertical industry associations and participating in events and seminars. To proactively meet, manage and build relationships with all businesses, both existing and new in your given territory/account list. You need to understand in detail Ricoh’s approach to improving worklife through the delivery of transformational technology, solutions and services.

In summary by positioning and presenting yourself as an industry, product and solution expert in the education sector you will be able to achieve your set sales revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that allocated monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets are met or exceeded.
  • Engage with new potential customers to grow market share by developing high level customer relationships.
  • Understand in detail Ricoh’s solutions and services and how they provide benefits, business efficiencies and/or cost reduction to the prospective purchaser.
  • Engage with potential customers functional business units to understand their business drivers and objectives.
  • Manage and create a formal territory/Account plan for new business acquisition.
  • Work alongside and introduce technical pre-sales and subject matter experts to prospective clients to maximise the delivery of Ricoh’s sloutions and services.
  • Coordinate your tender responses ensuring that our offer is compliant, innovative, and factual, professionally complied and punctually delivered, ensuring strategic and competitive advantages are proposed and oversee the adherence to Ricoh policy requirements.
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce to a level that in the event you are unavailable other team members can pick up from where you left off.
  • Establish and maintain long-term and profitable business relationships in your given accounts and territory listing.
  • Ensure that your professional skills are continually reviewed and improved on.
  • Conduct on-going research and new-business development in the market place to identify fresh sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate individual customer investment and discounts within company policy and corporate pricing guidelines framework.
  • Perform all reasonable requests by your Manager.
  • Provide regular and open communication to sales management.
  • Work collaboratively and harmoniously across all Ricoh business units

Candidate Criteria

  • Previously successful sales experience
  • Demonstrated New Business Acquisition success
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage with any representative of a school, be it the Principal, Business Manager, IT Manager or the Receptionist.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Technically Astute
  • Sound Business Acumen
