About the Company:

Our client is a leading energy retailer, providing services to both homes and businesses throughout Australia. They have become one of the leading power companies in Australia, and provide customers with an impeccable service. Sustainability is also important to this business and a big part of their culture.Currently, they are looking for a Channel Manager with industry experience within Gas.

About the Role

The primary responsibilility for this role is to deliver gross margin and meet sales targets the sale of energy (gas) contracts to existing businesses whilst also having a strategic approach to developing new accounts.

The role requires the management of current customer data whilst adhering to the strict industry regulations and company strategy. Its essential that you engage with the relevant internal stakeholders as well as developing ongoing relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build, manage and grow a portfolio of corporate gas accounts
  • Market segmentation
  • Deliver on revenue and growth targets through existing channel relationships
  • Develop programs for growing & nurturing existing and new channel partners, ensuring sales targets are met
  • Deliver increased margin and contact lengths for the sector
  • Formulate, execute and review strategic plans with partners
  • Work with senior and executive stakeholders
  • Assist with the development of new products/market offers that are customer specific
  • Leverage internal & external resources to effectively position the company as the thought leader
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in selling Gas/Energy to large corporate customers 
  • Previous experience in a Sales or Channel Management role
  • Capability
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated and achievement oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
