The role

As part of our continuing growth strategy, we are looking for an energetic sales manager, who can help take the delegate sales team to the next level of performance. As the team’s manager your core focus will be ensuring the ongoing success of the delegate sales team, which you will do by ‘leading from the front’ and promoting a positive team and company culture. Over 50% of your time will be spent managing, mentoring and training the team, though you will also set the tempo by getting on the phones yourself.

Reporting to the Managing Director and Divisional Directors, you will take ownership of the sales business unit and execution of the delegate sales strategy for each show. As the Head of Delegate Sales, you will possess the following:

  • Extremely self-motivated and hungry for success. Prepared to go the extra mile
  • Strong business development, people management and customer relationship skills
  • Strong reporting and strategic planning skills
  • Proven experience managing and motivating a team
  • Experience in a tele sales environment focussed on new business
  • A strong commercial track record in delivery of results
  • A lead by example work ethic
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
